John Moody is a filmmaker, planner and designer who aims to help people see things differently.
John Moody is a filmmaker, city planner, and designer from Pullman, Washington and currently based in Los Angeles. A storyteller at heart, he is motivated to help people see things differently, so they can better connect with each other and the places they live. Building on a decade of film industry experience (including four seasons on the set of Fox TV’s New Girl) and a master’s degree in city planning from MIT, John co-founded Invisible Cities Studio in 2016 to help people create inclusive cities and urban spaces using cinematic storytelling. He directed the award-winning films Redemption Square (2018) and the cerebral city (2015), and has contributed to several award-winning design and documentary projects. He holds a BA in film and video from Pacific University.
